Featured Maker: Corri with Paris Creek Jewelry

We enjoyed seeing her creative pieces pop up in our feed on Instagram so we had to check her out. Let's meet Corri with Paris Creek Jewelry.

I have always been creative and crafty and knew I wanted to be an artist all my life. Thinking back now I WAS an artist, I just wasn't making it into a career.

I had dabbled in jewelry making during junior high and high school but didn't fall in love with the craft until after my daughter was born in 2007. My husband was frequently working out of town and I was looking for something creative to pass the time in the evenings after my daughter went to bed.

I purchased a couple of jewelry kits and got tons of compliments. I even started getting custom order requests before I was actually a business. Those requests are what jump started my business and helped me decide to launch Paris Creek Jewelry back in 2010.

Running a business with a family is definitely not easy but if the passion and drive is there you make it work. I love the fact that I can enrich other people's lives with my art.

My work has definitely evolved over the years going from macrame and simple stringing to wire work and my favorites....metalsmithing and metal stamping. I enjoy learning and am constantly growing my skills and techniques to increase the artistic characteristics of my jewelry.

Metal stamping is an excellent way to add those unexpected elements and special touches to my jewelry. My absolute favorite Beaducation originals are the feathers and arrows, though there are so many beautiful stamps available it is hard to choose.

My goal is to create organic jewelry from natural treasures for free-spirited women who follow their own path and seek beauty, not perfection along their journey of life.

Whether you're a stay at home mom looking for a special piece to remind you to take a few minutes for yourself every day or if you are the busy career woman longing to let a little of her inner wild child out to play....Paris Creek Jewelry is here for you and I would love to help you nurture your own free spirit as this adventure has nurtured mine.

We thank Corri for sharing her story and hope that you will follow her on social and consider purchasing from Paris Creek Jewelry next time you are in need of a gift for a friend, colleague, family member or  yourself!
