I'm not sure I could pick a favorite! I love the campers, flowers, and feathers. The first piece I made was a terrible little pendant. But it got me hooked!

I love craft month and the giveaways you offer! Thanks. Cuff bracelets have been a big hit among my client's for over the last year and those petal benders (technical term, right?) are fantastic! Better than some of the other bracelet metal bending tools I've tried. Good luck to all!

My favorite stamp is the Spiral Bracket Metal Design Stamp-Beaducation Original.

Oh boy, does it count if the first piece of jewelry I made was a pendant I made from a broken ring? My dad used to sell costume jewelry back in the late 1960's when i was?a preteen and would give me the broken pieces and odd earrings. I would recycle them into pendants with jump rings or glue pin backs on them. I still have that pendant and it's held up remarkably well.

My first real jewelery came when I was in my late teens with me stringing beads and crystals.

So excited about this giveaway! I don't know if I can pick just one stamp because I love them all! But, if I had to choose, I think the cross design stamp is my favorite! And the first piece of jewelry I made was a necklace for my niece for her 8th birthday. She absolutely loved it! :-)

Kjo said...

The first piece of jewelry I made was a pair of whittled stick earrings! I was probably around 12 years old and had limited supplies at that age. I whittled the stick, used my dad's drill bit to router out the soft center and make a hole across the top for the jump ring, and coated the sticks with clear nail polish to seal it and make it shiny!! They actually ended up looking like pieces of bamboo when I was finished!!

I make Memorial Jewelry from items that belonged to a deceased loved one or pet and many times that includes items that get stamped. So while I don't have a favorite (since it depends alot on the item being used) I do frequently use a paw print stamp that I have had for a while.

I love beading and make new things. I love learning new ways to make jewelry.

Kay said...

This is so embarrassing BUT the first stamped bracelet I made read, "Shut the **** up, *****."
I made it in preparation for a meeting that I was dreading going to later that week. I used it as a hidden totem to keep my anger in check.

I haven't made such a vulgar piece since. Now, I just use the actual stamping to get out any aggression I might be feeling - AND I put happy phrases on things now! Much better for my psyche!!!

I haven't been able to buy any of the stamps yet & have only made jewelry out of seed beads before, but would love to incorporate the stamps & metal into what I try to do. The hearts I can see adding to a Christmas ornament to let others know they're in my heart, animal stamps to make into a design for those who like dogs or for a christmas ornament for our family as we love cows, goats, pigs & chickens. Maybe I could be able to create a design for jewelry or ornaments to donate as a fundraiser for a non-profit 501(c)3 Horse rescue I've helped for years. I've come up with so many ideas of things I could do, but....being on a single income, having kids & animals...I let my "wants" go to the side so i can get everything for everyone else.
Congratulations to the previous winners & to the winner of this week.

What a great opportunity we all have :)

The first piece of jewelry that I ever made was a necklace in a Continuing Ed Class. I just loved the experience and the fact that I could custom make my own jewelry! That was just the beginning......since then, I have graduated to wire work, stamping, metal clay, polymer clay and now I'm finishing up a Metalsmithing Class! I need a bigger house! I have learned many techniques from Beaducation. Thank you!!

Dear Lisa and Gang: I am a BIG fan of Beaducation - in fact, I'm so envious of the smart name you devised for your business, I wish I'd thought of it! I have completely enjoyed the tutorials and encourage other would-be jewellers to check out your site. I would love to win this 3rd week prize because of the copper in it: I want to do torch enamelling (can't yet afford a kiln). I have been eyeing your enamelling kit and hope to experiment with that sometime. Online I've found AMAZING enamel artists whose work inspires me to the challenge of developing skills in that craft. I hope you can help make my dream come true. Thank you for your wonderful site, support and sense of humour, too. We should really say we "play" crafts than "do" crafts, you know? (like "play" music) -- because there is something so organic and soulful about it. I know you feel it too, it's nice to share that feeling. Cheers!
