I made a few things and finished up some UFO's. One of my favorites is a bracelet out of shells and chips. One UFO I finished is a guitar. Wire frame work and filled in with chips. I bought the pattern from a member of a group I am in.
We recently moved into a new house, so my project has been to start renovating the area that is going to be my art/jewelry studio! Can't wait to get all my supplies back out!

Great giveaway - I need to get into doing things with fire at home. I have recently made a supply of textured copper, made by running annealed metal through a rolling mill with various items ranging from metal mesh to papyrus heads. Now I just need to decide what to do with all of it!

Like many here, I am in the process of learning to solder. Due to limited resources of jewelry-making classes in my area, the Beaducation videos and books like Simple Soldering by Kate Richbourg are invaluable to me. I have been buying tools as I can to complete a basic soldering kit, so I would love to finally have everything so I can start doing! My current project is an earring and cuff bracelet set for my aunt using wire wrapping and Swarovski crystals.

I Have only managed a couple of things this month. We have been busy getting my daughter with her portfolio, she has been accepted to the college of her choice, so now maybe some craft time.
I've been crocheting dish clothes all month. I love the sense of accomplishment and giving them away. Even taught a couple of Tweens how to crochet while at a volleyball tournament.

I just started making jewelry recently, and I decided to make this IU necklace to celebrate basketball season! I live in Bloomington so it's a big time of year for us. Instead of adding a basketball charm, I wanted to be a bit more subtle so I used hammered copper for the charm. My stamping isn't perfect yet, but it'll get better:

I've been trying my hand at wire working. I love it! My biggest problem is jump rings. I don't trust them! I made a beautiful bracelet with extensive stamping for a dear friend and she lost it. I am convinced that the connecting jump rings were to blame. I would love to sauder them shut!

I have several projects going at the same time: finishing a necklace/ bracelet for myself (this will be the first ever set I've made that I haven't given away or sold), learning to work with Ranger Inks (so far, so good and I've fallen in love with their quality and color saturation over raw copper!), and making leather wrap bracelets for two sweet young ladies in my life, and finally, perfecting my soldering with solder for copper/brass (it really does match the colors!!). I've been working on a custom metalwork order. I made leaf patterns from my vintage lilac bushes, traced them on red brass, hand-sawed and texturized them. Then will attach the metal leaves to chain, add semi-precious stones and voila! a necklace!

I fabricated a bezel set to hold a nice rough cut ruby stone. Love it! It looks a bit rustic but also "renaissanceish" if that's even a word. Made it into a ring.
