Put a Bird On It Giveaway.

**Contest is closed. We will be back shortly with a winner.**

The book birthday celebration continues with another great giveaway!

The latest trend in crafting is putting a bird on whatever you are creating. It's certainly a favorite design motif for many of us at Beaducation.

We have an especially savvy stamper in our midst. Danelle, our Shipping Lead and head of our Design Team is a super stamper. She specializes in collage stamping; creating little works of art with a variety of design stamps. (Also, Danelle has a great FREE class coming up in early August that features more nature designs.)

Her lovely Perching Bird collage-stamped design was the inspiration for this giveaway. Danelle used the Beaduation original Tree Stump, the 3/32 Bird, and the Slash design stamps to create her design. One lucky winner will win all three stamps as well as two 24-gauge sterling silver 5/8" blanks to recreate this great design idea.

Let us know, in the comments below, what crafty jewelry idea you might want to add a bird to. We will pick a random winner on Monday, July 25th at 9 AM PST.

For extra chances to win, help spread the word through your social media outlets (FB, Twitter, your blog), link back to this post and leave a comment below for each. One comment equals one entry. Good luck!

I've taught Engineering/Robotics for the past two years at an all-girls school. And being a jewelry person, to make the students feel that all that time and effort into building the robot was worthwhile, I let them make memory wire bracelets (we have to be stylin' at those robotics competitions...we are women!!). I bought glass beads with a a chick/bird on it - since I created a web site for our class called "We iz Rockin' Chicks!" The chick has become an unofficial mascot for the team...and this chick stamp will allow another sassy dimension to show my appreciation for those hard working students - we could do one earring instead of a bracelet...No one said we had to be conformists, right?

Hahahaha, as a fan of Portlandia, our family loves to joke about "putting a bird on it." I actually spiced up my photo wall with a gorgeous art print of...you guessed it! a bird. Fingers crossed!

I do special pieces for No Feather Left Behind for donations to go to saving birds.

I'd totally do many birds for them!

I would put birds on anything. I made an especially lovely pair of sparrow earrings once. They got sold. I wish I had kept them lol!

My favorite use for the bird is a piece I have made that has a 3/4" copper disc with Cardinals stamped across bottom and a 7/8" disc with a bird and each girls jersey number stamped on it from our team the Carrington Cardinals! It has made some great gifts for all the players, stats, coaches.

wow... what a cute idea with the tree stump and the little birds. I have recently been adding little birds to many of my mixed media jewelry pieces. Some are metal charms of various types, some are resin coated images. I'd love to make some stamped pendants and charms with the bird stamp and the phrase "birds of a feather" to give to some friends of mine.

JenniferJW said...

I am currently doing a series of charm necklaces. I would add these to the metal pieces in the collection (along with inspirational words like "soar").

I am brand new to metal stamping, but I am so excited about getting started. I love to create things! I know at first I will need a lot of guidance, but I am looking forward to experimenting with my own designs. That little bird would be a great addition to my stamps that I just ordered tonight. I was thinking about adding the little guy to my purchase, but he was sold out. He would look really cute on any necklace that I am making. I loved looking over the website, and I know I will be coming back often. Thanks!!
