Thursday Giveaway and Follow That Blog!

Giveaways and contests are really popular in the blogosphere lately and Beaducation is no exception. We have some great offers out on the web right now.

Sometimes it can be confusing trying to keep track of all of the great blogs and contests out there. Many of you are very blog savvy, but some of you may be blog reader newbies. Since blogs are the new black (and a great way to stay informed!) we are going to break it down for you. Hang in there, 'cause there is a giveaway at the end of this post. 

How do I "follow" a blog...won't I look like a stalker?
Nope. In fact following a blog is the best way to get a steady update of what is happening with your favorites. Here's how:
Many blogs have a button that looks like this:

This is a symbol for an RSS feed. When you click on that icon, a page pops up that allows to to choose how you want to "follow" it (to receive alerts when the blog is updated). For instance, you can choose "live bookmarks" that will place a link on your browser toolbar. That is a button just for us right on your toolbar that you can click and go directly to the blog. Or if you read a lot of blogs (or plan to) try using a "reader" where you can follow multiple blogs.

Google Reader is a great tool for following and  organizing all of the blogs that you read right in one place. You can log into your reader and BOOM, there are all of your blogs right in one place. You can sort your blogs by theme or subject and tag interesting posts to refer back to later.

Once you select how you want to view the blog, don't forget to click "subscribe" and you are done... almost! Don't forget to check us out!
