Our friends at Art Jewelry Magazine have a really cool article in their recent issue (Volume 4, Issue 4) about making your own Design Stamp. It involves using a torch, some power tools (heavy drill or flex shaft) and files. There is an overview of this issue here.

Extreme Makeover

Have you noticed that our site has changed a bit lately? We're in the process of giving it a fresh look, which means it may change around a little between visits.

A big part of this overhaul is photographing our tools and other products with multiple views and closeups to best show their features and assets. Don't these nylon jaw pliers look sexy?

What's up with the many out "of stock" items?

You may have noticed that our inventory in general is pretty low. That is because we took most of it to the Portland Bead Expo show and we got cleaned out. Normally, I would have come straight home and placed orders to restock, but I got slapped (hard) with the flu and missed 7 days of work! Ahhhhh! So now I am back, finally, and have placed orders to get rid of those pesky "sold out" buttons!
Thanks everyone for your patience. Most things should be restocked by the end of this week. BUT we aren't expecting our next Design Stamp shipment for about 3 more weeks.

The flu has hit!

The flu has hit us here at Beaducation! Our ordering department (ok, just Lisa) has been in bed with the flu since Wednesday. We believe she is on the mend and will be back in the office tomorrow or Wed to do some ordering to restock our "out of stock" items.

Design Stamps back in stock!

We just received a recent shipment of Design Stamps....get 'em while they are hot because they sure sell fast. At this point we have everything in stock except the Flower with Spiral stamp. We hope that will come with the next order arriving in 3-4 weeks.
We did just get in a new stamp...it's a .999FS hallmark for marking Fine Silver! We will be taking a picture of it and posting it tomorrow.
